Injection Molding Process

Injection molding is a manufacturing process where molten plastic material is injected into a mold, and after cooling and solidifying, it forms the desired parts. This is a common plastic molding method used extensively for producing various plastic products such as components, containers, toys, and more.

injection-mold-sample-1

Wearable - ABS Material

This is a sports monitoring device manufactured using injection molding technology and ABS material. The surface texture of the product is created in the mold using a texturing process, ensuring consistency across subsequent production runs.

Material ABS
Process Injection Mold
Color Black
Finish Mold Texturing
Precision ±0.1 mm
Mold Lead Time 35 calendar days
Production Lead Time 1000 pcs every 7 - 10 working days
Yield 92% (measured on 1000 pcs)

The factories producing textured surfaces typically provide effect samples, from which you can choose. Finer textures offer better scratch resistance. After completing the texturing process, modifications can be made, but if modifications affect the appearance, dimensions, or structure, the texturing process may be disrupted and require redoing.

Material PC
Process Injection Mold
Finish Mold Texturing
Color Black/White
Precision ±0.1 mm
Mold Lead Time 45 calendar days
Production Lead Time 500 pcs every 20 - 25 working days
Yield 85% - 90% (measured on 500 pcs)

Note: For parts with significant depth dimensions, the draft angle must be considered, which typically should not be less than 1.5 degrees.

hydrometer-food-grade-pc

Hydrometer Food Grade PC Material

This is a sensor product used for monitoring alcohol-based food processing, manufactured using injection molding technology and food-grade PC material. The mold cavity undergoes high gloss treatment, ensuring consistent surface gloss across subsequent production runs.

Material PC
Process Injection Mold
Finish Mold High Gloss
Color Transparent
Mold Lead Time 35 calendar days
Production Lead Time 2000 pcs every 15 - 20 days
Precision ±0.05 mm
Yield 95% (measured on 2000 pcs)

Note: There are two important points to consider for this product. Firstly, the material should be of food-grade quality with extremely low water absorption, as material absorption can affect monitoring data. Secondly, alcohol is corrosive to most polymer materials and can cause surface cracking. Therefore, we conduct testing with alcohol concentrations higher than those in actual use environments. If your product faces similar conditions, please pay attention to these two points.
